“The Freudian Movement in Israel” was founded in 1985. Pivotal events led to its transformation into the GIEP-NLS. Today, the GIEP is one of the associated groups of the New Lacanian School (NLS), which is one of the seven schools that make up the World Association of Psychoanalysis (WAP).
